HANDRAILS:
Handrails over 96'' require a custom request - send me a message. Depending on the length of your rail, your order will likely include two or more sections with hardware inside the wooden rail that will need to be connected by rotating clockwise. There will also be a seam in the center of the handrail which requires you to have a bracket for extra support.
INSTALLATION:
1. **MEASURE AND MARK PLACEMENTS**
- Determine the height for your handrail. The standard height is between 34 to 38 inches from the nosing of the stair tread to the top of the handrail.
- Use a pencil and level to mark where each bracket will be installed. Space brackets no more than 4 feet apart and ensure one bracket is placed at the beginning and end of the handrail.
2. **LOCATE WALL STUDS**
- If possible, use a stud finder to locate wall studs for securing the brackets. Mark the stud locations with a pencil.
- If you can't find studs, you'll need to use wall anchors for added support.
3. **PRE-DRILL HOLES**
- Hold the bracket in place against the wall, aligning it with the marked height. Use a pencil to mark where the screw holes will go.
- Pre-drill holes at the marked spots. If using wall anchors, insert them into the pre-drilled holes.
4. **ATTACH THE BRACKETS**
- Secure the bracket to the wall using screws and a drill. Make sure the bracket is level and tightly secured.
- Repeat this process for each bracket.
5. **INSTALL THE HANDRAIL**
- Place the handrail on the installed brackets.
- Depending on the type of bracket, you might need to screw the handrail into the brackets. Pre-drill holes into the handrail to prevent splitting.
- Use the provided screws to secure the handrail to the brackets.
6. **CHECK ALIGNMENT AND STABILITY**
- Use a level to ensure the handrail is straight.
- Check that the handrail and brackets are securely attached and stable.
SAFETY TIPS:
- Ensure the handrail is secure enough to support weight.
DISCLAIMER:
-We are not liable for improper installation leading to poor weight support.
